   Come and experience an exciting in-studio session with Terry, where all the supplies are included! Her classes welcome participants ages 15 and up, providing a perfect environment to unleash your creativity. You'll receive informative sheets after each class to help you continue your artistic journey at home. Join her int her studio at 200 Willard Street, Wilmington, NC, and let your imagination flourish!

    At this time, she only teaches up to 2 students at a time, and cannot accommodate a larger class in her studio.

  Make sure to pre-pay for your classes in advance in order to reserve your spot because her classes fill up quickly! You can easily pay via Square Invoice, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or PayPal.

• Supplies: All materials are provided for your studio adventures, while you learn in class the best supplies to purchase for your watercolor work at home.

• Class Duration: Enjoy a 2-hour individual class, and if you need a little extra time, no worries—Terry won’t let you leave until you've grasped everything (as long as her schedule permits) Courses vary from 4 hours to four, 2-hour sessions.  

• Price: Individual classes are just $70, the 4-Part Courses are $245

• Terry can accommodate up to two students per class ($70 per person for individual classes or $245 each for courses).

Policies

• If teacher is late for class, she will make-up for that time by spending that time after the original end time of tesson to work with student.

• If student is late for class and does not notify teacher, barring an emergency, there is no make-up for that time lost. We understand that emergencies happen, please notify the teacher as soon as possible, and depending on her schedule, she will work with you to accommodate that lost time.

• ​Cancellations: ​No make-up lessons, refunds, or pro-rating will be given for lessons missed without at least 24 hours notice (by email or text) prior to the scheduled lesson time.

• Please note that there are no refunds for missed lessons; however, you will receive a credit for the lesson that was missed. The teacher will do her best to accommodate you and reschedule the lesson at another time. Keep in mind that there are other students with scheduled lessons and the teacher will offer alternative time slots based on availability. 

• Make-up Lessons: Notification of absence does NOT guarantee a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons will be subject to the availability of the teacher and the other students scheduled. The teacher will do her best to accommodate you and reschedule your lesson for another time. Once again, there are no refunds - only a class credit will be given.

• If the teacher has to cancel, she will reschedule that lesson and work with you to the best of her ability to make it up. You will have a credit for that class, no refunds.

• No-shows will result in the loss of the lesson – No makeup or refund will be issued in the case of:
  -Tardiness of 15 minutes or more (except in an emergency situation)
  -Failure to inform the Instructor of a missed lesson
  -Not showing up for a lesson

• Emergencies: In the case of unforeseen circumstances when a 24-hour cancellation notice is not possible, payment remains non-refundable. A make-up lesson or credit will be offered at the discretion of the teacher, subject to availability.

• Payment for the course is needed  ahead of time to guarantee a spot for lessons; full course payment is required in advance of 2 weeks or more to reserve your day and time spot. Spots for watercolor lessons with Terry fill up quickly.

• Terry understands that life, time, interests and budgets change, and if and when the time comes to move on from art lessons with her, she will not be offended or angry. Just talk with her about it and let her know your time together has come to an end.

Class and Course Info

• ​Intro to Watercolors; Some Basics: Class This is a very basic, 2-hour-long class where we briefly touch of the basics of getting started in watercolors. We talk about everything from simple brush-care, using the pigments, the supplies you need to start with, and values in art. Supplies are provided for in class use.

• Intro to Watercolors Course: This is 4-part series of 2-hour-long classes where we will learn the very basics of starting your journey in watercolors. We will go over the supplies, values in art, some color theory, mixing using a limited palette, and the main techniques used by watercolorists. You will go home each class with an informational pdf of what we learned in class, some exercises for homework, as well as a 5x7 painting you will do in each class using the info we learned in the class. Upon completion, you will also receive a certificate of completion of the course.

• Intermediate Course: This is the follow-up of the Intro course, and also consists of 4, two-hour-long classes. You will learn the importance of composition in painting, some basic drawing skills, landscapes and water in watercolors.

• Line and Wash Class: In this 2-hour-long, single class session, you will learn the basics of adding the element of ink into your watercolor art. Basic knowledge of working in watercolors is a requirement. This session is $70.
