Watercolor Classes Artist and illustrator Terry Ganey is now offering private, one-on-one, lessons in her studio! She will introduce her students to the whimsical and ethereal world of watercolors, and teach them how to create their own works of art. Stop by the portfolio page, take a look at her work, and decide if she is the teacher for you! Read on below to hear what her students are saying about taking lessons from her! ​ Available Classes and Courses ​ ​Introduction to Watercolors Basics (one 2 hour class) Line and Wash Basics (one 2 hour class) Introduction to Watercolors Course (four, 2 hour lessons) Intermediate Watercolors Course (four, 2 hour lessons) Intro to Painting Water (course - 4 hours) Intro to Urban Sketching (course - 4 hours) Terry will provide all supplies for students to use in-studio and send you home with informational sheets to help you with your practice at home. She will also send you home with your very own travel paint palette. Classes are for ages 15 and up, and take place in her studio in TheArtWorks, located at 200 Willard Street in Wilmington, NC. Supplies : ALL are provided by teacher for in-studio use; You do get a refillable travel palette to take home! Sometimes, you end up with even more goodies! Class Duration : single class is 2 hours; if we go over, it's okay - you won't leave until you have grasped what she has taught you during that lesson; courses vary in duration from 4 hours long to four, 2 hour sessions. Price : $65 per individual class. The courses vary in prices; check under "Book Online" to see each course price. She can only teach up to two people per class ($65 per person for one class or $240 for the courses per person). Classes must be pre-paid up in advance of class; I can send you a Square invoice to your email, or you can pay on here, through the "book now" link below. You may also pay via Paypal, CashApp, and Venmo. (must be prepaid to reserve spot, as well as purchase needed supplies, etc, prior to class) No refunds - if you have to cancel a class, she will work with you to reschedule your class; her schedule is pretty flexible! Book Now ​ My mom gifted me a private lesson for her, myself and my two younger daughters for my birthday! Terry was so patient with them and very encouraging! She was very thorough in explaining how to do what we were doing and why. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed our Intro to Watercolors class with Terry! It was me, my daughter and two granddaughters. She is a wonderful teacher and incredibly talented artist. Terry made the evening so much fun for all of us. I highly recommend her classes. In fact, we plan to sign up for advanced classes over the summer. I booked a watercolor class with Terry for my partner's birthday. It was so much more fun than I imagined! I am not artsy (but my partner is) so I was nervous I wouldn't be good at it. But Terry is such a good teacher that even I made art! She is a great mix of a kindergarten art teacher (for people like me) and a true professional artist (for people like my partner). We booked one session to start and see whether we would like it or be good at it and when we walked out we both said let's do more sessions! She is the best. So fun and learned legitimate art techniques to do more in our free time. SO worth it! Your will not regret booking a session with her!!!

ABOUT TERRY GANEY BIOGRAPHY Terry Ganey, a self-taught artist from WIlmington, NC, works in multiple mediums because sometimes just one medium doesn't help her express what she is seeing in her head. ​ Her primary focus is art that is relevant to the Carolinas, including many city and seascapes. ​ She started out working in just acrylics, but since becoming an active member of the Wilmington Chapter of the Urban Sketchers, she has fallen in love with the combination of watercolors and inks. She loves that expressive, illustrative style she can accomplish with lines and washes. ​ Besides working in that classic combo (she loves the challenge of architecture), she loves to paint dramatic seascapes in acrylics and oils. Terry is a member of the Art League of Leland, The Watercolor Society Of NC, The National Watercolor Society, and is the chairperson of communications, website, social media, and marketing for the Wildlife Artists of the Carolinas.
