In this 4 hour course, Terry will introduce you to the exciting world of urban sketching! You will start out in the studio to learn about the supplies, how to use them, then do a little practice. Terry will then take you out in the neighborhood in the South Front district, and teach you how to urban sketch out in the field. Urban sketching is about capturing the energy and wonder of the scene before you; sketching from real life! You will learn about picking a focal point, composition, scale and perspective, and how to actually execute your urban sketch. You will be working in watercolors and pens, but she will go over other mediums that are great to use in the field. In this class, there will be a lot of learning and a ton of fun! Learn a new skill that you could use anytime, anywhere; a way to capture the world around you in a dynamic, little sketch!
